god articles : duty - "Melting Heart"

By: Bawa Muhaiyaddeen

QUESTION: Bawa mentioned the melting heart yesterday. What does he mean by that?

BAWA MUHAIYADDEEN: If you have the desire to eat a fruit, then you will naturally have the determination to search for one. In the same way, if you want the fruit of the innermost heart, the qalb, you will want to search for the place where that fruit exists. As soon as you have firm determination and certitude in wanting Allah, as soon as your heart wants that taste and has that state of faith, certitude, and determination, or iman, then at that time the fruit of your heart will soften and melt.
