Those intoxicated by the frenzy of religious fanaticism will perish in the torpor (mayakkam) caused by the darkness that is the ocean of maya. Their birth and their actions in this life are all darkness. Their body, organs, and mind are all infested with the sores of maya. No one has a remedy for this—not even a guru. This is certain. So say those of wisdom who have been blessed with the grace of Allah.
